3) Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, tags, and SDKs for core site functionality, analytics, and advertising. In the EEA/UK, optional cookies run only with your consent via our CMP (TCF v2.2-compatible).

See our Cookie Policy for details and granular controls.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor GPC signals for U.S. visitors as an opt-out of “sale”/“sharing” and targeted advertising where applicable.

4) Why We Use Your Information (Legal Bases)

  • Perform a contract: process orders, payments, shipments; provide support; manage accounts.
  • Legitimate interests: site operations, communications, analytics, security/fraud prevention, improvement of products and services (balanced against your rights).
  • Consent: email/SMS/WhatsApp marketing (EEA/UK), non-essential cookies, social logins where required.
  • Legal obligations: tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance.

5) Advertising, Analytics, and Profiling

We may use analytics and ad-tech to understand performance and deliver relevant ads, including:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4.
  • Ad/retargeting pixels: Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, and similar platforms.

In the EEA/UK, these tools run based on your consent. In certain U.S. states, our use of ad-tech may be considered “selling” or “sharing” or “targeted advertising.” See “Your Rights” below for opt-out options.

6) Payment Processing

Payments are processed by third-party processors: Sumit, Upay, Stripe, and PayPal. We do not store full card numbers or CVV on our servers.

Your payment data is handled in accordance with each processor’s privacy policy and PCI-DSS requirements.

7) Shipping & Logistics

To fulfill orders, we share necessary data (name, address, contact, order details) with shipping providers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, and Ecopost.

8) Other Service Providers and Partners

  • Hosting/CDN/Security: Cloudflare.
  • Email/SMS/WhatsApp Marketing: Klaviyo and Flashy.
  • Potential Live Chat: we may implement Tidio or similar.
  • Affiliates/Ambassadors: we operate an affiliate and ambassador program and may use cookies/identifiers for attribution (program details).

We require processors to use your information only under our instructions and to protect it appropriately.

9) Sharing and Disclosures

We share personal information with vendors and service providers to operate our services; with carriers to ship orders; with payment processors to complete transactions; with analytics and ad platforms as described; and where required by law, to authorities.

We may disclose information in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, asset sale). We do not sell personal information for money; in some U.S. jurisdictions, certain ad-tech uses may be considered a “sale” or “sharing”—see Your Rights below.

10) International Data Transfers

We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries outside your own, including the United States. For EEA/UK data, where applicable, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and UK Addendum) and perform Transfer Impact Assessments to help protect your information.

11) Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, and as required by law. Typical periods are:

  • Orders & invoices: 7–10 years (tax/accounting).
  • Customer accounts: for the life of the account and up to 24 months after inactivity, unless you request deletion sooner.
  • Marketing consents & preferences: until you withdraw consent or after a reasonable inactivity period (often 24 months), whichever is earlier.
  • Cookie consent logs (EEA/UK): up to 13 months.
  • Usage logs/analytics: typically 12–24 months.
  • Support communications: typically up to 24 months after resolution.

We may retain limited information as needed for security, fraud prevention, and legal claims.

12) Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls and role-based permissions, strong password policies, and multi-factor authentication for administrator accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

13) Your Privacy Rights

15) Do Not Sell or Share / Targeted Advertising Opt-Out

We do not sell personal information for money. Some U.S. laws define “sale” or “sharing” to include certain ad-tech disclosures.

You can opt out by contacting us at [email protected], using our Contact page, or via supported GPC signals.

If we add a dedicated “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” page, we will link it here.

16) Social Features and Embedded Widgets

Our site may include social buttons or widgets (e.g., Like/Share buttons) from platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, and others.

These may collect information such as your IP address and page visits and may set cookies. Your interaction with these features is governed by the privacy policies of the respective platforms.

17) User-Generated Content and Testimonials

By submitting reviews, images, or other content, you grant us rights to display that content.

We obtain consent before publishing testimonials that include personal information. You may request removal of your UGC where feasible.

18) Automated Decisions

We may use limited automated processing (e.g., fraud screening, abuse prevention, advertising segmentation).

You may contact us to request human review of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects where applicable law provides that right.

19) Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

20) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest version. Material changes will be notified by prominent notice on our website and/or direct communication where required.

21) SMS and WhatsApp Marketing

We may offer SMS and WhatsApp messaging programs to provide updates, marketing messages, and cart reminders. Participation is entirely voluntary and based on your explicit opt-in consent.

How we collect and use phone numbers:
When you provide your phone number (for example, during checkout, through a pop-up form, or account registration), we use it solely for the purpose for which you provided consent—such as order updates, marketing, or cart reminders. Your phone number will not be shared or sold to any unaffiliated third parties.

Abandoned cart messages:
SAVAGEARS’s website uses cookies and similar technologies to help keep track of items you place in your shopping cart, including when your cart has been abandoned. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS or WhatsApp.

Third-party service providers:
We use trusted service providers such as Klaviyo and Flashy to deliver SMS and WhatsApp messages. These providers process your data only under our instructions and for the purposes of sending messages on our behalf.

Third-party data sharing exclusion:
The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How to opt out:
You may opt out of SMS or WhatsApp marketing at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our messages (e.g., replying STOP) or by contacting us at [email protected].

Location-based messaging:
If location-based services are enabled, we may use your approximate or device-based location data to send relevant messages (e.g., shipping updates or region-specific offers). Location data is collected only with your consent and is used solely for this purpose.
